		<description>He is officially 2p as far as I know. During summer 2005 he went to China and played the oteai, he won 4 games out of 8 but did not get promoted to 3p. He commented some of these games in the French go magazine, but I don't know if this a good source (it said twice than Bao Yun is 3p). At least he says in his KGS profile that he is 2p, he would have changed it long ago if it was wrong.</description>

Do you happen to know if he is 2p or 3p in China, officially? I've read both versions (from different internet sources) and I'm confused.

Fan Hui is just back from a 2 months trip in China where he spent most of his time studying go. A (biased?) French guy reported that Fan was clearly stronger than all of the players there during the tournament.</description>
